Heya folks, I'm back with some more progress. Last week I got this order for an oc custom, and in last post showed you the progress of his tail. This time I'll show you the progress of the mane.
The mane was actually harder to make than the tail, especially so thanks to the wings. Wings pretty much always make things harder when making custom manes from clay. Nevertheless, I hope my customer will be happy with the results, then it's time to get to the painting!
This is the base of the mane I worked on. Never mind the wrong body, it's just easier to make the hair when the wings are not in the way.
The other side has now been finished. Not really much to say at this point, though it got harder after this.
Aand the other side as well. This was the hardest part in many ways, especially in getting it to resemble the other side as much as possible. Also, the hair goes completely around the ear on the other side.
Finished mane with the right body. Had to do some adjusting to get the mane to go nicely with the wings.
And from the back.
And the other side. I just like this side more.
